How to Become a Licensed Paramedic in Saskatchewan

The Paramedics Act was proclaimed September 1, 2008 and the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics officially became the licensing body for Emergency Medical Responders (EMR), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced (EMT-A), and Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedics (EMT-P) in the province of Saskatchewan.

NOTICE: All initial registrants and Change of Status applicants are required to submit the Saskatchewan Jurisprudence Declaration (pdf) and to arrange with their training institution to provide original transcripts to SCoP.

Registration Packages

In order to practice as an EMR, EMT, EMT-A, or EMT-P, individuals are required to register with the College. The following table summarizes requirements for certain types of applicants:
