Entry to Practice Licensing Examination
A licensing exam is a requirement for all new EMR, PCP and ACP applicants for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP), except for those who are licensed in another province. Members who let their licence lapse are also required to successfully complete an exam if they have never previously done so.
Eligibility to write the exam requires successful completion of an approved education program at the relevant level, or a SCoP-approved equivalent.
A restricted licence to practice under the supervision of a SCoP member who is at the same or higher classification can be issued to new graduates for a period of up to 6 months while they wait to write their exams. This may be extended once, upon request.
